Dorthe Nors I was born in 1970 and I hold a degree in literature and art history from the University of Aarhus. I’m the author of the novels “Soul” (2001), “Stormesteren” (2003) and “Ann Lie” (2005) and in 2008 I published a collection of short stories entitled “Kantslag” ( Karate Chop ). 2013-09-02 · In an interview with Grey Wolf Press , Danish writer Dorthe Nors said she would like her stories to be read as “Compassionate, hard-hitting, droll, puzzling, and accurate.” In her very short story, “The Heron,” an old man tells how he sees the Fredericksburg Gardens in Copenhagen: alcoholics, dismembered dead bodies, and birds that appear to be dying from too much bread.
