Cederblad 214 is the brightest part of the NGC 7822 complex, strangely enough PixInsights’ annotation script regards this one alone as NGC 7822, which IMO also includes the loop from the previous post. Cederblad 214 is a bright nebula and star-forming region in the wider SH2-171 area in Cepheus. It contains the star cluster Berkeley 59 (bottom-left of centre in this image). The complex is believed to be some 800–1000 parsecs distant, with the younger components aged no more than a few million years.

Cederblad 51 is a knot in the molecular cloud Sharpless 264 that surrounds Lambda Orionis and forms the circular head of Orion that can be seen in long-exposure, wide-field images.

Cederblad 214 in SN-H-O - posted in CCD/CMOS Astro Camera Imaging & Processing: This is my first image with my new to me QSI683. I am looking forward to learning how to get the most out of it. I did a little variation on the SHO blend with this image by mixing my Sii and Nii data 50/50 in the red channel. Total there is about 20 hours of data collected. More details in the Astrobin page This is part of Cederblad 214 which in turn is part of NGC 7822, a large emission nebula located in northern Cepheus, which is actually the northernmost emission nebula in the sky. Another designation for the whole complex is Sharpless 171. NGC 7822 is a young star forming complex in the constellation of Cepheus.
